SHOP ULTRA SUN*HeatForce technology is activated on hot days, after the formula is applied to the skin. The sunscreen’s WetForce capabilities begin once it senses water or perspiration on skin.
To activate WetForce technology, expose the area where lotion has been applied to water for 30 minutes, or expose to perspiration for 30 minutes. This formula is water-resistant for 80 minutes.

What is the difference between Mineral and Chemical sunscreen?
Mineral sunscreen is formulated with mineral UV protectors that sit on top of skin, shielding by dissipating UV rays. Chemical is made with UV protectors that penetrate the skin, protecting you by filtering UV rays.

What is the difference between everyday and active sunscreen?
Our active sunscreens are formulated with SynchroShield Technology, which combines WetForce Technology with HeatForce Technology. As a result, it has evolved into a sunscreen that protects the skin from strong ultraviolet rays by using heat, sweat, and water—ideal for an active lifestyle and outdoor activities.

What is the best sunscreen for my skin type?
Everyone needs SPF, no matter what your skin type. Shiseido offers sunscreens for a variety of skin types: sensitive, oily, normal or dry. If you have skin that’s on the drier side, select a sunscreen with moisturizing ingredients. For oily skin, select an oil-free sunscreen with mattifying ingredients. Sensitive skin types will benefit from a mineral-based sunscreen.

How do I incorporate sunscreen into my skincare routine?
Apply sunscreen every day. UV rays are present all year long. Apply on all skin exposed to the sun; you’ll need one ounce for the entire body, and a nickel-size dollop of the face. Reapply every two hours or post-swim.
